Meredith Hawes, National Fire Protection Association Regional Director. The NFPA is the nation’s leading resource on fire, electrical and related hazards. Meredith is responsible for organizing the fire service, building officials, electrical industry, health advocates, facility managers, installers, designers to support NFPA’s fire safety mission in eight states including Ohio. She is a recipient of numerous education related awards, including the Educator of the Year Award from the Michigan Fire Inspector’s Society and the President’s Award from the Michigan Fire Inspector’s Society.

Mark Humphrey, Senior Manager, Training and Certification Development for The National Fireplace Institute. Mark has been in the hearth industry for 30 years, from service and installations to the president and owner of a multi-location wholesale and retail hearth business. He is an NFI Certified Master Hearth Professional, holds a mechanical contractor’s license, and is certified in HVAC design. He has served on many boards including the Rocky Mountain Hearth Patio, and Barbecue Association and the Hearth Patio and Barbecue Education Foundation.

Tom Moore, past President of the International Association of Electrical Inspectors, Western Section. Tom has been involved in the electrical inspection industry since 1987 and the electrical industry for over 55 years. He has been on numerous NEC Code Making Panels and been involved with dozens of electrical associations and committees. He is a retired Assistant Building Commissioner with the City of Beachwood Ohio and current Building/Electrical Inspector with the City of Stow, Ohio. Tom also serves as the Chair of the NFPA Electrical Inspectors Executive Board and is a member of IBEW Local 306, where for the past 26 years has been an Apprenticeship Instructor and Journeyman Training Instructor.
